Heating Rebates and Tax Credits

Colorado Front Rangers are lucky to have several million dollars available in tax credits and rebates for investments in energy efficient equipment. Boulder County’s EnergySmart program has received at least a $25 million grant from the Department of Energy’s BetterBuildings Program as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and another $5 million per year from Xcel Energy from 2006 to 2012.

Rebates are designed to incentivize our community to choose energy-reducing equipment. Often, these people also experience lower energy bills for the lifetime of their equipment.
